Howling Hideaway Rescue is founded by Jen Nelson . After years of fostering and working in rescue it was time to take a new path. With the assistance of her niece Allison Holden and friends, Jenn Reid, Melanie Maitland and Katie Niblock, Howling Hideaway Rescue was born. We are a group of 5 that have worked together many times in the past helping animals in need find placements. 

 

It all stemmed from a mastiff mix being dumped in the ditch and a message to Jen from Melanie... she always knows how to get her 😉. Next thing you know, a message from Laura Jane's Pet Food and Supplies about 4 puppies, also mastiff x ...also all found in a ditch. Well...I mean how could we say no??  Jen and Jenn jumped in the truck and next thing you know we have 5 kittens , 4 puppies, puppy mill mom and tiny stray dog in care 😆. Oh and we hit the keyboards and managed to get our not for profit status in there too, along with our Facebook and Instagram accounts! 

 

HUGE thanks to Laura Jane's Pet Food and Supplies in Perth ON for supplying us with the Critters nutritional needs and care!!   Laura is a gem of a lady! She is always supporting Jen's crazy ideas 😉, and sometimes planting the seed 🌱

 

Of course we couldn't do this without the outstanding service and veterinary care of Athens Veterinary Services!  They are truly some of the best people !! They genuinely love and care about each and every living soul that steps through their doors!!

 

We are now a growing group of individuals with a common goal... help the animals that need it ... find the homeless homes.  We couldn't do what we do without the help of our fosters, volunteers and donors!
